Love is in the Hair

My hair is no joke! Thick, wavy, a little unruly, and never dries the same way twice. FOR REAL.

I had always, always, always used the blow dryer and big brush to flatten it as much as could. It was straight in every single picture I own! I'm not sure why I fought against the waves, I just figured that's what girls with thick hair did. Take the extra time to blow it dry and smooth it down, only to have it up in a pony tail and giving me a royal headache at the end of the day.

But not anymore! On a vacation 2 years ago, I decided to embrace the humidity, throw in some gel and let mother nature do it's thing. WOWZA!! Where has this hair been all my life? It was beachy, cute and so easy to do before we were on to our next adventure sailing the Caribbean.

What changed?? I think as I get older, my hair gets wavy-er... is that a word? Wavier? Who knows. Anyway... I was hooked, and didn't want to leave my beach hair behind. But lo and behold.... I'm from New York. We don't exactly have the same humidity as the Caribbean Sea. DARN! Once our little bit of summer is gone, so are the waves. So it's back to the blow dryer and the big brush all. fall. and. winter. long..... ugh.
